After several years as the introductory artwork for the Allio Art portfolio presence on Model Mayhem, Unforgiven was abruptly deemed inappropriate and censored as an avatar. A statement issued by MM to the artist is quoted, as follows, "This photo is not fit for an avatar. It could be for a number of Reasons: Nudity, too sexy, too long, too much cowbell, etc. Please pick something else."

Considering the digital image file was within techncal constraints for publication and the model was not wearing a cowbell, by inference the image was plausably censored for content based on a recently revised standard highlighting a growing social conservative agenda, or possibly individual personal prejudice, regarding the quantity of skin presented in an image rather than the levels of meaning available to a sophisticated viewer of a refined work of visual art.

2013 August 24: Bing and Yahoo
Unforgiven was the top ranked digital image of over .7-million for the Bing image search terms "special recognition nude artwork." This visual artwork was also the number one image for the same keywords in the Yahoo search engine.

Technical Information: The originally exposure of this digital image was made using a Nikon D2H digital camera and AF-S Nikkor Zoom 28-70mm f/2.8D lens in an outdoor setting. The midday sun provided the light source for a manually calculated exposure. [ learn more... ]
