Sketches of War is one of 14 individual photographic artworks selected to be featured in the Peacock Blue virtual gallery beginning in 2003. According to a gallery statement, "Allio's women are truely erotic, beautifully sensual, and glorified under the gaze of his camera."

2002: Photography Unlimited - Japan
Originally produced on 35mm film, Sketches of War won the "Best Pictures of the Month" honors in the Artistic Nudes category for June 2002 at the Japanese web site Photography Unlimited. Beginning July 1, 2002, the picture was be displayed in the Winners gallery of the Photography Unlimited virtual photography website. The display time was one year, ending June 2003.
